Happy Bird-day!

In the spirit of yesterdays trivia day, here is some trivia about bird day:

This is one of the three holidays celebrating birds-the oldest is "Bird Day" which is in May, today is "National Bird Day", and then there is also a "Migratory bird day"

National Bird Day was established by bird activists. It calls upon people to recognize the plight of captive birds. It also draws attention to exploitation of birds in the U.S. pet industry. On this day, organizers suggest we reflect upon the conditions of birds held in captivity.

So if you see any poor birds in captivity you should at least think about freeing them:

But really I think we all know this little guy would die if you freed him.
