The pattern polka dot was named for the dance polka even though there is zero connection between the two. Wikipedia seems to think that polka dots are reserved for children's clothing and the outfits of dancers and performers. I am here to tell you NO! Polka dots can be classy and professional! If done tastefully, you can wear polka dots from 1 to 99.
Do you need anymore evidence? I don't think so. Happy Polka Dot Day- wear what you want!
